Coenzyme Q10 is a cofactor to enzymes in the body and present in almost every cell. It primarily resides within the mitochondria (powerhouse) of the cells and plays a key role in the electron transport chain for cellular energy production which generates more than 90% of the body's energy.
While the body makes Coenzyme Q10, in certain situations, supplementing with coenzyme Q10 may be beneficial, particularly while taking statins as it depletes the body's CoQ10. Coenzyme Q10 levels also decline as we age.
Liposomal technology involves encapsulating nutrients inside tiny lipid bubbles (liposomes). Because of their minute size and make up these liposomes are absorbed into the body without being broken down by the digestive system. This improves the bioavailability of the nutrients which means more nutrients for the cells to utilise.
Additionally, these liposomes provide the body with the essential phospholipid, Phosphatidylcholine which can be used for numerous functions in the body.
